The aim of this unit is to introduce participants to the concepts of research data management (RDM) and FAIR data, showing how they can support integrity and reproducibility in scientific research. The lessons introduces concepts such as research and data lifecycle, open data, FAIR principles for research data, open access.

Learning objectives This lesson will answer the following questions: - What information is considered research data? (types of data, ways to look at data) - What are the risks of bad RDM? What are the perks of RDM? - In what ways are Open Science, RDM and FAIR data enablers of integrity and reproducibility in scientific research? - What is a data steward? - How to use a repository?
